Born in 1986 at Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier City, Louisiana, Shea’s family quickly moved to Ocean Springs when he was under a year old after his father was stationed at Keesler Air Force Base. He attended Kindergarten through 12th grade at the Ocean Springs School District.
After high school Shea worked many jobs including 4 years at the Hard Rock in Biloxi. While watching the 2008 Republican debates he became inspired to learn about economics, politics, and current events. That passion led him to enroll at the University of Southern Mississippi to pursue a degree in political science.
During the 2012 presidential campaign Shea joined the Jackson County Republican Executive Committee and in 2013 became the State Chair of Young Americans for Liberty (YAL), as well as Campus Coordinator for Students for Liberty (SFL). He stayed active in both YAL and SFL until his graduation in 2014.
After graduating from Southern Miss Shea began working with the National Association for Gun Rights in Texas where he helped fight for pro-gun legislation. In the spring of 2015 he had the opportunity to join Concerned American Voters in Iowa, helping organize for Senator Rand Paul. After spending time in Iowa he came back to Mississippi where he began working for Americans for Prosperity, fighting against tax increases at the state level. In 2016 Shea pursued a career in Financial Services and currently works for Financial Design Associates out of Mobile, Alabama.
